we did testing to some of the people in Tallinn University. And we got a good respon about this application.

Comments :

– The application is simple, and hopefully will useful.

– The application needs time table from each bus.

The poster design is inspired by transport maps, railway station, bus stop.

Logo

Our logo is a road sign which was chosen because it is a sign everybody knows. If a person is familiar with something he or she tends to trust it. The user understands immediately what he or she is dealing with: transportation, buses, bus stops, bus lines.

Use Case and Simple Draft

This is the use case of the application what the system should cover. All of the activity written in the use case, is described as a diagram. We defined different actor but still has the same access, thus we didn’t divide the symbol because there is no differences.

George visits his friend in Pirita

Friend of George dropped him off to Tallinn center near Viru keskus. He needs to go to his friend’s place in the suburb. It is the end of the month, his salary payday is ten days away, he really lakcs of money. So he wants to grab a bus but he has no idea where the bus stop is nor which bus goes to this particular suburb. He needs a simple application to tell him:
1) where is the bus stop (which direction, how many meters)
2) what bus he needs to take (bus number)
3) where he needs to get out of the bus (how many stops, what is the name of the stop)
4) when does the bus leave

Description

George (20 years old) lives in Pärnu, he studies in local college and comes from time to time to Tallinn to visit his friends, to have a party. He has a part-time job as a waiter and his income is rather limited. He is a fan of gadgets.

Goals

• As he has low budget he intends to use public transportation rather than taxi.
• Luggage is not a problem for him as he does not carry heavy bags with him.
• He does not orientate well in Tallinn and needs precise information about bus stops.
• He knows his destination and he wants to know which bus to take and where he should get out from the bus.

The Idea of “interactive bus city route”

In the real world of traveling and tourism, bus is a common transportation that people always use. Wherever they are, firstly they always think about taking bus to reach somewhere they want to. However, information about Bus route is not enough and is not really answer what they need. In addition, the tourism center or transportation center will just provide them the whole map, and bunch of data that they don’t need.
